A nice record label is IMHO magnatune. You can download all content as mp3 under a creative common license. When you buy a CD (~$13 each) you can choose to also download the music in whatever format you want. You can alos decide to buy a download only. You are also allowed to copy the music and give it away to up to three friends. I like this already....
