A new Creative Commons licensed music portal site has been brought to my attention: Jamendo. It features a variety of CC licensed music. They are made available through lower quality streams in MP3 and OGG formats (~64 Kbps at 44KHz). But you can get high quality versions via BitTorrent or Emule/Edonkey! Nice design also. The registration they require is painless and seems to have no consequences whatsoever...
